Check the prefix and Riot’s warning
Save a screenshot including the letters before the number. VAL and VAN use different troubleshooting lists. In the VALORANT table checked on October 11, 2026, code 43 describes a system timeout. However, Riot warns above that table that some errors display incorrectly and the list is out of date. Treat the entry as a starting point rather than a definitive diagnosis. If the screen shows another code, use the matching instructions.
Restart the client and record the result
Close VALORANT, fully exit Riot Client, then reopen the client and try signing in again. Restarting the client is the action in the official code 43 entry. Note whether it helped, whether the code changed, and which loading stage stopped. Vanguard reinstallation steps listed for other numbers do not automatically become a requirement for VAL 43.
Compare the failure with support notices
Open the official Riot Games Service Status, select VALORANT and your region, and check support announcements too. A published incident matching the time and region can help you decide whether to wait for resolution. A blank page or no announcement does not prove every service is healthy. This guide does not confirm an October 11 widespread outage or promise a recovery time.
Prepare a useful support request
Tell Riot the exact code, time and time zone, region, sign-in stage, and restart result. The official Riot Repair Tool gathers logs: download it from Riot’s page, run it as administrator on Windows, select the game, and attach the resulting ZIP to your ticket. Log collection is diagnostic assistance, not a guaranteed repair. If the agent requests specific logs, follow that request; keep archives out of public comments.
