Minecraft Dungeons II: equipment, talismans and first enchantments

Evaluate new equipment one change at a time. A clear set of properties is more useful than randomly replacing all items at once.

Inspect individual slots

The official review describes the expansion of combat slots from six to twelve. The armor is divided into helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots; Talismans provide passive bonuses. First, write down what effect each item adds, then decide which properties support the chosen style. Do not consider the same name to be proof of the same parameters: items may have random effects. Save the original set so that you can return to a clear combination.

Check enchantments through the library

Enchantment books add to your personal library. At the Enchantsmith, you can apply the effect to the selected slot, and then develop the enchantment. For the first comparison, choose one task and one effect that helps it. Write down the state of the item before the change and evaluate the result in a similar situation. Do not change weapons, armor and several enchantments at the same time: then it will be difficult to understand which property influenced the result.

Link your equipment to your route

The world consists of connected areas with quests and points of interest. Before leaving, select the nearest task and look at the route on the map. Some caves and ruins may differ between visits, so a memorized path is not always a substitute for checking the current area. If you play in a group, agree on the next destination with others. Note where the chosen equipment turned out to be convenient, and where a different approach was needed.

How to compare a new item

Use a familiar area and one specific test goal: ease of attacks, survival, or a selected effect. Change one item, keep the rest of the set and repeat similar actions. Record the results of several attempts, not just the successful moment. If a new combination requires a different distance or pace, practice it separately first. This order helps you develop your own style and not draw conclusions about the quality of the whole build based on one failure.
