On October 8, CD Projekt Red announced the release of patch 5.01. Fixed automatic application of oils, which previously could only work after enabling the option in the current game session.
On PC, the developers also fixed GTAO Quality resetting after restart, selecting the wrong graphics card, and applying DLSS or XeSS on unsupported GPUs. Dynamic Resolution Scaling is now disabled by default. The patch affects boat controls, dodging and Geralt’s individual skills, as well as save data. A developer reports that the consent screen is being shown again due to server-side issues; preferences must be re-selected. This is a list of specific fixes, not a promise of a specific FPS increase. After installation, it is useful to check the selected video card and whether your settings are saved during a normal restart.
