Roblox talked about protecting scripts and internal AI tools

On October 2, Roblox published an explanation of its security system. The material focuses on running code from external authors, isolating and monitoring the execution of scripts.

The company describes sandboxing, isolation, and runtime control as the core of platform security. For internal teams, automatic rotation of secret keys and security assessment panels are also named. Service-to-service authentication by default is described as a goal; the publication does not claim that it has already been completed everywhere. Before allowing internal AI tools for code, Roblox created an isolated validation environment. This is a company's account of its own engineering controls, not an endorsement of the safety of each user project. The game author still needs to check the origin of added scripts and maintain a clear history of changes. For the player, the message does not mean the introduction of a new game mode or the need to install a third-party “protective” client.
