KartRider in China will switch to a 64-bit client on October 29

In its September 30 announcement, Tiancity scheduled the Chinese KartRider client’s move to 64 bits for October 29, 2026. After the upgrade, 32-bit Windows will no longer be supported.

The operator offers to update via TCG. The size of the patch is described as being close to reinstalling the full client, without an exact number of gigabytes; Check the free space and connection in advance. The list of components names Visual C++ 2015–2022 x64 and DirectX End-User Runtime, with official Microsoft links. According to the operator's explanation, the DirectX package adds old components and does not change the main version of the DirectX system. As of October 8, this is a future transition, and not an already completed update. Before downloading, check the type of Windows installed: the ability of the processor to work with 64 bits does not in itself confirm the bitness of the operating system.
