Modern Warfare 4 sets Campaign early access for October 16 and DMZ for October 20

Activision has announced early-access dates ahead of Modern Warfare 4’s October 23 launch. Its Steam post lists October 16 for the Campaign and October 20 for the full DMZ mode.

The stated requirement is a digital preorder or prepurchase of the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition on Steam. These are separate dates: Campaign early access does not open DMZ on the same day. The announcement concerns a future launch rather than servers already being available. Activision notes that platform availability and start dates may change; actual play time also depends on time zones and possible outages. Check your edition and purchase store before planning around these dates. The Steam conditions should not automatically be applied to physical copies or purchases from other stores.
