Minecraft: Fourth Dimension Sift Announced for 2027

Minecraft
Minecraft · Mojang Studios

At Minecraft Live on September 26, Mojang announced Sift for Minecraft Java and Bedrock. A new dimension to the main game is planned for 2027; the announcement does not mean that it is already available in the regular world.

Sift is also featured in the standalone Minecraft Dungeons II. The dates and rules of the two games must be checked separately: having a dimension in Dungeons II does not automatically open it in Minecraft Java or Bedrock. While the official recap does not provide instructions for building a portal in the main game, you should not pass off custom modifications as an officially confirmed way to enter Sift. For your world, keep a backup copy before checking out any experimental versions and write down which edition you use. It is more convenient to follow further details using the official Minecraft Live recap and subsequent notes from Mojang. The exact release date for Sift in Java and Bedrock is not specified in this announcement.
