Meta VR Glasses announced for spring 2027: gaze and hands instead of controllers included in the box

In the results of Meta Connect on September 24, Meta described VR Glasses - a lightweight VR headset with a computing module in the connected unit. Equipment release is scheduled for spring 2027; SDK v207 is already available to developers.

The main input is based on gaze and hands, and controllers are not included. Meta clarifies that games with required controllers may be displayed once they are connected. The device runs on the same operating system as the Quest and is presented as an addition to the family. This is a reason for the player to separately check the controls and compatibility of each project after the final cards appear. The announcement of future hardware does not confirm the current availability of the device or guarantee that every existing game will perform the same.
