Arc System Works has revealed Phoenix Cyclops, the first additional fighter in the Year 1 Pass. An October 7th PlayStation Blog post set his release and the Classic and Legacy costumes for November 2nd.
The character combines Optic Blast with the power of the Phoenix. After accumulating four Solar Shards, a temporary form of Dark Phoenix is available: the enhancement is accompanied by a loss of health, so the resource requires control. At EVO France from October 9-11, attendees are promised the chance to try out the fighter before release. A three-hour Game Trial has been announced separately; The official game card clarifies the PlayStation Plus Premium requirement. Trial access to the main game does not mean that future DLC is already available to all subscribers.
