Battlefield 6 and REDSEC: plans for the fifth season and second year

On October 2, the Battlefield team spoke about the direction of work for Season 5 and 2027. Changes being discussed to REDSEC include returning to a match after a crash and more accurate ranked matchmaking groups.

For those new to regular Battle Royale, recommended drop zones are planned. The developers are also exploring changes to vehicle health, air defense, and weapon balance. For 2027, further work on the shooting range and updates to visual effects and animations are described. The team expressly warns that Battlefield Labs test results may result in changes, delays, or cancellation of features. Therefore, this material is devoted to plans, and not to confirmation that all the listed features are already included.
