House in Minecraft 7x5: simple plan, materials and construction order

Start with a compact, single-story form. This original plan uses a 7x5 block area and helps you calculate the walls, floor and roof in advance.

Mark out a 7×5 area

Choose a flat area and mark a rectangle seven blocks wide and five blocks deep. You can use Creative to practice form; In Survival, prepare materials in advance and take into account the surrounding environment. The filled floor takes up 35 blocks. With walls one block thick, the internal space will be 5x3, that is, 15 cells. Before raising the walls, mark the entrance so as not to rebuild the entire corner after choosing the door.

Count the walls and openings

The perimeter of a rectangle with corners counted once is 20 blocks. For walls three blocks high, this is 60 positions. If you leave the two-block-high doorway and four single windows, you will need 54 regular wall blocks and four blocks of glass. A door is a separate object occupying a two-block-high opening. This is a calculation specifically for this form: expanding the house, a different height or additional windows changes the amount of materials.

Assemble the box and flat roof

First make the floor, then raise the wall rows with openings left. Check the passage through the entrance before closing the top. A 7x5 flat roof made from full blocks requires another 35 blocks; together with the floor and regular walls, there will be 124 full-size blocks, plus glass and a door. Decorative steps, overhangs and a separate path are not included in this calculation. For the first option, keep the shape simple and add decorations after checking the interior space.

Check the comfort inside

Place the necessary items so that you can walk from the door to the workplace without rearranging. First check access to each item, then add decor. Inspect the house from the outside, remember the landmark for returning and check the situation around the entrance. If you want a second floor, first draw a new plan for the staircase and ceiling: it’s easy to make a small interior uncomfortable. Save the original version before expanding to compare the usefulness of the changes.
